The Legislature's Business and Labor Committee will hold a public hearing in Room 2102 at the State Capitol on Legislature Resolution 533, introduced by Sen. Kate Bolz. The resolution calls for an interim study to examine promoting career education and training that can lead to job readiness for middle-skill jobs.

ITT Tech announced Sept. 6 it is closing its campuses nationwide, including its Omaha location.

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is ready to receive transcript requests for students who attended Wright Career College's Omaha location. Wright alerted the U.S. Department of Education in April that the school will no longer offer instruction at any of its five campuses, including its Omaha location. Wright also operated campuses in Kansas and Oklahoma. Statutes designate UNL as the final repository for student records from closed four-year institutions in Nebraska.
