First meeting to discuss Nebraska's role in the Multi-State Collaborative on Military Credit. Organized by the Coordinating Commission.

Goals of the meeting:

First day to submit applications for Access College Early (ACE) scholarships for winter term.

Due date for applications for Access College Early (ACE) scholarships for the Fall term.

Deadline for submission of proposals for the Improving Teacher Quality federal grant program.
 

The Legislature's Education Committee will hold a hearing on college affordability in room 1525 in the State Capitol. LB 519, passed and signed into law during the 2015 Legislative session, requires the committee to conduct an interim study on postsecondary affordablity issues. This hearing is intended to gather information for that study and its resulting report. The Coordinating Commission has been asked to testify, along with others representing postsecondary education in Nebraska.

The Coordinating Commission will meet at Nebraska Wesyleyan University in Lincoln.
