The Coordinating Commission will hold consecutive public hearings in Room #1113 at the State Capitol, 1445 K St. These hearings will be held on the amendments to Title 281, Nebraska Administrative Code, Chapter 6 – Rules and Regulations Concerning the Access College Early Scholarship Program Act; Title 281, Nebraska Administrative Code, Chapter 9 – Rules and Regulations Concerning Capital Construction; the repeal of Title 281, Nebraska Administrative Code, Chapter 3 – Rules and Regulations Concerning Accreditation of a Private College; and the proposed revision of Chapter One of the Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education’s Comprehensive Statewide Plan for Postsecondary Education. The Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education is currently undertaking a review of Nebraska’s Comprehensive Statewide Plan for Postsecondary Education and seeking input on proposed revisions. The Commission began the review with chapter one, which assesses the postsecondary educational needs of the state, states the shared values and beliefs underlying the plan, and lays out major statewide goals.
The Coordinating Commission recently published the 2016 Nebraska Higher Education Progress Report, which provides comparative statistics to monitor and evaluate progress toward achieving three priorities for Nebraska's postsecondary education system.
