Coordinating Commission Executive Director Mike Baumgartner recently testified in favor of a bill that would require colleges and universities to provide students with detailed annual information regarding their student loan debt.
The Legislature's Education Committee will hold public hearings on two bills pertaining to the Coordinating Commission:
- LB 691, which would create two new financial aid programs to be administered by the Commission
- LB 752, which would create the Adult Career Pathways Task Force, with the Commission's executive director appointed as a non-voting member
