Nebraska's Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education

New academic programs, capital construction projects on the agenda for next commission meeting

The Coordinating Commission has posted the agenda online for its next scheduled meeting, on March 8 at the State Capitol in Lincoln. Among the items on the agenda: 

  • Proposals for instructional programs at Metropolitan Community College (a Certificate in Language Interpretation), University of Nebraska Medical Center (a Doctor of Nursing Practice in Nursing), and the University of Nebraska at Omaha (a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Athletic Training).
  • Proposals for capital construction projects at Central Community College's Hastings campus and University of Nebraska Medical Center.
  • A presentation on the 2011 Nebraska Higher Education Progress Report, which provides the Legislature with comparative statistics to monitor and evaluate progress toward achieving key priorities for the state's postsecondary education system.

The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. in room 1113 at the Capitol.
