2016 Tuition, Fees, and Financial Aid Report

The Tuition, Fees and Financial Aid Report is a biennial report that provides an analyses of the public policy issues relating to tuition, fees and financial aid for students in Nebraska.  It also studies how Nebraska's public postsecondary educational institutions compare with their peer institutions in other states.

To determine if college is more or less affordable in Nebraska than it has been in the past, this information examines tuition and mandatory fees in light of changes in family income. This section covers two key factors of affordability:

This section provides information regarding state appropriations per full-time equivalent (FTE) student. It covers two major areas:

  • State Appropriation Comparisons within the State

  • State Appropriation Comparisons with Other States

Financial Aid for Higher Education

The federal government provides several types of financial aid for students in postsecondary education. In this section, we examine and compare:

  • Student Loan Trends
