Door to College Scholarship Launched

Nebraska’s Coordinating Commission for Postsecondary Education announces the launch of the Door to College Scholarship Program, with applications accepted beginning May 1, 2024, for the 2024-25 academic year.  The Door to College Scholarship, created by the Nebraska Legislature in 2023, is available to undergraduate students who graduated from a Nebraska Youth Rehabilitation and Treatment Center (YRTC) high school or graduated from high school after being discharged from a YRTC facility.  The scholarship provides up to $5,000 per school year, depending on enrollment intensity (full-time or part-time), and can be used at any participating Nebraska postsecondary institution that also participates in federal financial aid programs.  Applicants must complete the federal FAFSA and a Door to College Scholarship application.  Applications will be accepted throughout the school year but must be completed prior to the first term for which students are intending to use the scholarship.  More information, as well as application forms, can be found on the Commission’s website.
